« on: March 25, 2010, 10:44:09 AM »
Hello to all,
I am new to the site. Trying to get all the info I can.
I wish to get a good first project car.
Any help or advice will be great.
Thanks,

Welcome aboard Mike. Info a-plenty here. Most of the time its correct ;D All I can say about project cars is be careful and don't get over your head. I would try to stay with something that was complete and maybe even drivable for a first car/bus. A lot of times these back lot , chicken coop cars can be a real money pit and I don't know what your mech. skills are. If you find something ,check here first before you make a deal. Maybe we can give you some advice before you sign on something you might regret later when your bank account and 401k vanishes and you have nothing to show for it :o

Welcome Mike, listen to the Godfather and take it to the bank. Will we see you at BP12?

I have found a 1970 Beetle good mechanically as far as I can tell.
Body is fare. Pans are good.
Not sure I want to spend that much to start.
Take all input.
Thanks
