I need to post a couple pics up....

I had a 2001 Audi A4 with a 1.8 Turbo a few days ago that popped a hose fitting, ran out of coolant, and dude kept on rolling.  it got so hot, it melted the plastic housings that bolt to the engine, and the round plastic water pump impeller was oval instead of round.  The timing belt was a frayed, sticky, molten mess, but never jumped time.  I replaced the melted parts, did the timing belt and all the trimmings, filled the coolant back up, and it cranked right up.... After a little low compression fast spinning noise.   ;)

DAY-YUM.
