sweet, I will check that when I get home. Can anyone think of another reason the system would be running rich? I hope that I will be able to take the car over to Sal tonight and see what the Vagcom says.

Did you clean or replace the plugs,  of they are fuel fowled  they may not fire,  1.8 misfires are usually bad coil,  air leak,  does the car have throttle response?

I have replaced the Plugs but that was before I replaced the PCV valve. I just bought new plugs last night and will install them tonight. I have great throttle responce at high RPM but laggy responce at low RPM's

Are there any air leaks in the hoses that attach to the intake?  There is a hose that is near the throttle body that is bad about leaking

I think they call that the "L" hose. I removed it and scanned it over. Pluged one end and tried to blow through it. It doesnt seem to have a problem. I pulled the intake and took apart every PCV hose and replaced what was need so I dont think that there is an air leak. Im hope Im right about that. Afterwords I sprayed carb cleaner on all the lines while the car was running and didnt get any changes in idle speed so Im pretty sure noting is leaking.

I know it. Just having a hard time putting my finger on it. I just hope its not a ECM problem.

Took the car to Sal last night and has a throttle body adaptation done but it didnt help. The VAGCOM showed cylinder misfires on all 4 cylinders and it said to check the diverter valve. Sal thought that it is a vacume leak somewhere which I have been thinking all along but havent been able to find it. I will pull the diverter valve tonight. I think all of the PCV lines are good. Anyone know of any other vacume lines that could cause this problem that arnt around the intake?

There is one that is bad to break at the check valve that runs behind the head,  it is about the size of your thumb and attaches to the valve cover and runs down under the intake

VW acutaly replaced that one. They thought thats what the problem was. I ordered a billet aluminum diverter valve on ebay since the VAGCOM mentioned it. Maybe that will fix the problem.

The one that I bought is located here incase anyone wants to take a look:

Has anyone else had to replace their diverter valve?

That's probably a good choice, the stock plastic ones seem pretty fragile. I upgraded to a Forge 007 DV after I had my car chipped, and the old DV broke in my hands while I was removing it.

I have not seen a valve cause misfires,  usually they throw a turbo fault

Im hoping that the valve is leaking and letting unmetered air flow though the intake causeing my problem but I wont know for sure untill I change it out.
