recently pan into the issue off a timing chain with a link so that you could roll the chain into the engine.  Heard someone say to hit both sides with a ball peen hammer, a little nervous about that i did some research and found there were tools for this.  Thinking about the old school mercedes techs that showed me how to roll a chain in a v8 mercedes, 80's model, i went down to mercedes and they were able to not only find the tool( they did some digging) and let me borrow it, it did a nice job
