Can't find one...

« on: June 15, 2013, 03:50:09 PM »
We need to replace this on Casper, who is a 1991 Cabriolet.  Can anyone give us any ideas?  Hugh called Village; no luck there.

And what is it actually called?  Thanks!

If you can't get a new one, and can't find a used one locally, I'd try eBay or Pull-A-Part.

I'm not sure what years would interchange, but there are two Cabriolets at Pull-A-Part East Atlanta that were put on the yard earlier this week.  It's a long drive not knowing if they are manual or automatic, and if they are automatic, is the part still there . . . and if it's still there, is it any better than the one you already have.  I'd go for it . . . but then, I've used needing a connector for the radio wiring harness for my S-10 as an excuse to go play in the junk yard.   ;D

It's called "trim for shift mechanism" in the parts system.

155-863-215 or 533-863-215 both part numbers use color code 01C.

The cover strip/slider is 321-863-277-A.  Also 01C color code.

Pull the cover off and look to see if the part number starts with 155 or 533.

Thank you so much!  That really helps.

Pull a part is a good idea too if we can't find it online...
