2011 Jetta wheels on a 2004 Passat?

Have a guy that has been asking to buy my BBS CH-028's (18's, A4 / A6 wheels) for the past 2 years...
Now that the tires are going, I am contemplating trading for a set of 17" alloys off his 2011 Jetta and some cash.
My question is to weather they will fit or not.
Sal? Dubtec? Travis? any one know?

aren't they all 5x112? I guess the offset and/or width could create problems, but if they are both 5x112 the should bolt up

Offset should be between 35 and 45, I think...right?

Hummm that offset would work with the Ghia... hummmm.
Now If I just jack it up... masage the back fenders with a sawsall then I can have a Donk.

That would look like a triumph or a matchbox car, the offset should be the same

They would bolt up to a later model bus...if you had one! I think you'd have to ream the lug bolt holes out to 14mm from 12mm but shouldn't be hard.

I have ran that through the old brain...
I have a set of 245 40 ZR18's that would work as well for that application...
If I didn't have to ream them out I might try it...
