This might be a stupid question but is there a way of checking the air flow plate or cleaning the fuel distributor with something (i.e. fluid) without having to break it down first? Would it be a good idea to replace the braided fuel lines with new ones? Thanks again, guys.
If you are not VERY familiar with these systems, I would advise AGAINST disassembly of the fuel distributor... unless your intention is to disassemble it for the purposes of metal sorting before you throw it in to the recycling bins....

The other stuff is all peripheral... like you said, try the plate first, see what happens... you can take the injectors out (you need a special puller to do so), turn the key on, and lift up on the plate, see if they spray evenly... just disable the ignition first (funny story about a co-worker on that one) key on, not cranking, just to clarify.

And a big 10-4 on what Hal said... CIS cars hate bad gas.
