I purchased a set of Bosch WR8CC plugs from CIP and they were listed as fitting Bus 72-79/Vanagon 80-83. However what I got in the box was WR8AC. When I compare them to the NGK B6ES plugs I pulled out, the Bosch plugs have a shorter thread length. After some more Googling, it seems like the WR8AC plugs are for a type 1 engine.

Rather than sending them off, I will instead offer them to a club member that could use them. $10 for the set of 4, brand new and never installed.

They are yours if you want them. Be advised I opened each little box to verify the plugs are the same.

I think it's an honest mistake, the label on the outside does say WR8CC and there's nothing else to indicate otherwise until you open them up and look at the plugs themselves. I've sent an email to CIP to let them know of the mistake. If you can use these plugs, let me know!
