But if I had used buy it now, it wouldn't have changed the fact that its cracked!  >:(

Man, that SUCKS!!!  Especially after the seller stated:

Q: Are there any cracks in the flywheel, specifically around the hub?
A: No cracks or repairs

That sucks,  sent an ECM to a guy and he told me it was bad,  he never sent it back even though I refunded his money

File a complaint with eBay that the item is not as described. You can dispute the sale, especially if you used paypal. You can probably get a refund.

I messages him and asked if it was cracked. That was MY question!  >:(

I would have thought shipping since it was hub down and had marred the cardboard from where it pressed through all the padding, BUT it has a little scratch mark from where someone recently checked it by scratching off the old paint and rust in order to see the crack! So mad

I said:

I am a little disappointed with the condition of the flywheel. Upon opening the box, I discovered the hairline crack around the hub. I know this is a common occurrence (I have two of these already that are cracked there!). That is why I specifically asked. I would have been optimistic and thought that the crack occurred during shipping, except I can clearly see where the paint/rust was scratched off at the hairline crack. I feel this was deceiving, but more so, I am disappointed that I am still without a usable flywheel. How can we resolve?

Have you looked at this twin maytag on Craigslist for $200?

I've seen it, but I haven't looked into it.  Too many other projects already.  I've got my wringer washer torn apart and ready for soda blasting, painting and reassembly and I've got all the parts (minus a set of bushings) to build another single cylinder Maytag engine to run it.  Plus I got a boat load of old sewing machines that need some refurbishing.  Got a lot of work that needs to be done on the house and the cabin needs some busted pipes fixed.  AND, I still have to clean out Homer.  So, I've been holding off on that one . . . and the wringer washer on the Nashville Craigslist (it's actually in McMinville) that has a twin cylinder on it for $150.  Both of them are probably well worth the money . . . I've just got to the point where I ain't buying anything else until I get one or two of current projects completed.

I owe you a favor . . . so why don't you buy it and I'll help you get it going?  By the way, are you going to try to have that Utilimotor flywheel fixed, or try to run it as-is, or what?
