looks kinda like an Empi Sport they were early buggies that had a homeade look. I love em. I think you are gonna have a nice buggy. Spring comes I hope to get some buggies together for some back road rides. mabe a natchez trace ride. Keep us posted on the buggy.

The Natchez Trace is really nice in the Fall. I drove my Manx the whole length in the '60's. You had better have a top and side curtains and heat for any trip in a Buggy.  Also drove to the "Outer Banks" and then down to Key West Fla. The next year drove completely around Nova Scotia. Now that was a trip. We camped out most of the time weather allowing. Its amazing how much camping stuff you could cram in a Buggy with a little planing . :o :o ;D  Oh ! You better put a silent header on the engine for long trips unless you want to be deft at the end of a 300-400 mile day ;D ;D

I've got a good 40 horse engine I'm thinking about putting on it . . . if so, I'll probably run a stock Beetle exhaust to begin with.

The best I can make it out it says:

KENTUCKY ASSIGNED IDENTIFICATION PLATE
*DR33574MO*
BUREAU OF VEHICLE REGULATION

Maybe the state of Kentucky can shed a little light on it's history . . .

Zen i would really love to see a replica of homer(blue, red and yellow) up and running. That would be great seeing homer going to a camp out with the matching buggie behind him. Have you thought of a name yet?

Well . . . I cleaned it out.  Then last week I aired the tire back up and moved it.  Time and Weather have not co-operated with me on this project.  The few times I've had the time to work on it, it's been raining.   :-\   I need a heated garage.   ;D

Dang Zen, that's kinda what we were talking about at the last committee meeting! Could be perfect for you. Got any old cars or trucks you could trade him?
