the car is a 64, but I just recently learned that I was wrong about some things.. because of this car, I thought that the small hood on the license plate light ended in 65..  well , it turns out I have a 64 with a nice 63 decklid.  (am I still wrong???)  see, I also own a pretty good 66 model, and it has the big hood on the decklid.. any way,  I have a 63 ragtop that I plan on grafting the top on this car.  I also have a nice pair of 59 tailights..  yall see where I'm goin??   On the color,  I have begged Sara to let me paint it a sorta creamy white. the answer is NO!  we have tried to agree on colors, and the only one we can agree on is the Blue that you see on my engine tin.   that is 03-04 Chevy Truck, Arrival Blue.  so, whatever..   I do like the color, and I think it will look good,  but I really LOVE white on an old bug.  even a grey or beige.  those colors just seem to FIT on old bugs.   Sara wont have it.  see, I'm married now,,,,,  and this is OUR car.  hehe.   dont take that wrong, shes great.    what yall think about the blue with a light tan rag top?  would'nt white be too bright?
I'm thinkin a tan interior with a tan rag.. ??  I'm gonna get rocks thrown at me over the wheels I'm gonna use but,  I just want to let you all know now that I'm not a big fan of this skinny,  lowrider,  hoodride,  airbag dropped,  whatever you wanna call it look.  I'm kinda different.  nnaaaawwww,  I aint even gonna tell ya.  I dont like the wheels normally used on bugs.  and thats all I'm gonna say.

Boone, the turn signal blinking has a history. Every time we go somewhere in a caravan, I will invariably forget to turn my turn signal off as my canceler doesn't work and everybody will start hollering at me to turn off my turn signal. I guess I need to add that to my list of things to fix on "Lucille".

thats a good lookin 67 !  Bugnut, I have not forgot about you on the parts questions.  I took a bunch of pics the other day,  I dont know about the overriders, It looks like I have one that is near perfect for the right rear, the left side looks pretty good facing from the rear, but has some minor rust on the inside.  I have got some lowback seats  but I dont think you would want them.  (your not getting my good set hehe) I have 1 good right rear tail lens that is Hella. ya need it ?  I'll try to post some pics in the parts section after while.

If ya find some parts just stack em up when the pile gets to big let me know. Right now I'm knee deep in a squareback.

I've seen a few Split busses like that, and it's a cool and different look!

yeah,  that would be cool if it werent for the body work.  this car had a metal sunroof, and some idiot years ago filled it in with body filler. thats one reason I'm gonna graft a ragtop in it. other than that, it has some filler in the rear apron where somebody hit something,  a little in the left quarter also to fill a dent.  all this bondo is cracking, and falling out.  now that I've gotton into the body, the lower plates (covers) on the heat channels need replacement, they are not really bad but, they are getting weak.
