Hey man, Bus looks great!! I love the high top look that was a great score!! I have tried my hand at body filler and general body work but quickly realized there was no way I could do it and have it look good, NEVER tried fiberglass, always assumed I would end up looking like I was tarred and feathered! The Bus has come along nice!

Trixie is now "Trixie: the Award Winning, Happy Bus!"

We went to CYW last weekend and had to leave a little early for a wedding on Sunday. Donna and Rusty were nice enough to stick around to receive their plaque and graciously stayed til the end. Donna grabbed me last night at the dealership and said she had my plaque. I told her I had already received my dash plaque. She said, no, it's an actual award. I told her that was impossible! But there it was: Trixie received a Top 75 Award from the 36 CYW!

After those storms, trixie is still smiling but missing a few teeth. Looks like a call to the insurance company tomorrow...

Just an update. I went to speak with my insurance company on Monday. $100 deductible and they would pick up the rest. I went to their recommended glass company and they said it would be until after the new year. I went to where Brian had his bus's windshield installed (they moved this past weekend) and they said, "Bring it in at 8:30 tomorrow morning and it will be $160 installed." It was for the non-shaded (the top greenish blue strip across the top of the windshield). I dropped it off and about 30 minutes later, we drove on to the Christmas Eve festivities. Less than 24 hours, cheap and everything. I can't complain!

Driving Trixie feels like I have and HD view of life!!! Should have done this long ago!

Next up: Build this front beam!

I have been wanting to do the maintenance things like tie rods, balljoints, CV boots and stuff. I came across this front beam for reasonable and thought I'd build one and paint it up nice before swapping it out.

Does anyone know where I can get ball joints pressed in/out for reasonable price? Everyone on thesamba says that $200 is a good price if you take them off yourself and $800 is good if you take it to a shop  :o :o :o  Maybe I'm cheap, but that is crazy!
