I came to own this fine example of German engineering about 2 years ago and it is probably my favorite toy!

It was owned (1 owner ago) by a professor who took students to South America in it no less than 3 times!  Talk about road worthy.  For all that travelling she is in amazing shape.  Since I bought her she has received a fresh coat of paint below the belt line and wheels,  all new interior panels, new front seats, and a host of other smaller items.

Kim, the picture isn't showing up either . . . I know it does on your computer, but it doesn't on anyone else's unless they first go directly to the file.  Geocities won't let other sites pull pictures from their space anymore.  I found that out the hard way . . . I used to use them to store pictures for my eBay auctions and then I found out I was the only person seeing them!  I copied the picture and saved it the the gallery that Russ is putting together.  I think it will show up from there.



OK Russ, I know that's not what this gallery is for, but it's SO EASY to use!   :cool:
