Saw a couple down in Florida.

This is the "Volxrod". Didn't care for it but it seemed to be pretty well built.

Glossy black with ghost flames, and a custom fabric roof. Later I saw him getting inside and the top is actually motorized!

Front end seems similar to Mike's and I couldn't see what was under the hood (front or back). I think that thing on the front is just for show.

Now check this one out, it's rough and mean and ratty to the core. Bare metal and I don't know if it's cleared or treated for rust or anything. He seems to have a thing for rebar and steel grates. Check out the shifter!

I don't mean to correct you Russ but both of those are using standard VW front suspensions.  Mike is using a traditional front suspension most commonly used on 1928-41 Fords.  Below is a link to an example.

I smoked over Mikes Rat rod axle .  Thats pretty dang clever and looked really well built. It makes the car look more early Ford "Hot-Rod'ish ". I even like it :shock:  :shock:  :lol:
