restore fastback

« on: December 23, 2011, 11:03:12 AM »
I live about 60 something miles from the Chattanooga area in Rainsville AL. I teach high school auto mechanics for our county. I think your club is great. I have been to a few of your Bug-a-Paluza. My students and I are in the proses of restoring my first car a 1972 VW Fastback. I won’t get into a long and drawn out story about why we are missing some parts for it. We have gotten back most of what we were missing but one of the things we are still missing is a set of seats both front and back. I was hoping that you guys knew of a business, person or one of your members in your area had a set of seats from a 70-72 Fastback (or notch) we could buy.
Any help would be great. Thanks!

I live about 6 miles from Alvin.
I can try to stop by and see what he has in the lot this week.
If he has a T3, I'll snap some photos.

Thanks guys!  KC I will try to call him some time. But I may just wait on your response first. I should have the funds to start doing this next week. Sounds like he is about an hour and a half drive from me.

Just a quick up date. Found a pair of seats for the front and the back of the back seat in the Huntsville area. I just need a seat bottom for the back now. I have one out of a very rusty Squareback I got for parts. But the back seat in a square is different from a fasty.
