New Guy's 66 Bug

« on: September 29, 2008, 07:50:54 PM »
Going along with my first post here, I am posting a couple of pictures from when my 66 was still in the former owner's barn.

It's dirty on the outside, but the engine looks pretty good.  Hopefully I'll be able to make something out of it  :P

BTW that's a really cute Bug....it would be a shame not to take the necessary steps to get her/him registered and on the road for all to enjoy

Diggin'  the bug, chicken crap on the windshield is classic!!!
A REAL barn find in a sea of pretenders...
Good luck and look forward to seeing it running soon.

Haha, thanks guys.

If I'm reading the engine number right, both this and the other Bug I got have engines from 68, and they look pretty dang good.

I might start a restoration journal or something under Road Stories when I actually get to start working on them (stupid papers holding me back  :( ).  That way I could hold all my progress and questions in one topic.  That is of course if that's alright with everyone.
