To come to the end product took me killing 2 other motors.I will not take credit for this one.Rick spent till 2 am saturday building the short block with a step by step how to for me. I did the rest. Also David has been plagued with visits and stupid questions galore. He also rechecked alot of things along the way.

The engine is a straight 1600 built on a fuel injected AJ block.
Line bore by the Godfather
Short block by Rick(no oil leaks! I doubt it ever will)
Cam is a c-35 grind I highley sugest it doesnt even seem like a 1600 anymore.
The rest of the goodies include 30mm oil pump with spin on filter,
Original Claudes buggies 1.5 qt deep sump
Old school 34 ict italian weber carbs
CB Performance intakes and linkage(yes the regular intakes sucked and had many vacum leaks.as well as harder to mount/poor fit.)

I haven't got used to it yet and there's more to do on the top end work as well as some carb tuning.
It makes power way past the stock motor rpm wise so I gotta go easy on it.It has a tendancie to want to go faster than it should.Might add some better brakes soon.

Looks sweet, yes.  Sounds cool as hell.  A nice, subtle rumble that says, "come play with me Scottie, forever, and ever, and ever. "

Good job, man.
As soon as I get the crust-tacular, pan scuffing '64 on the road, we'll have to find a place to go cruising that will actually allow two people as cool as us to actually hang out there at the same time.

Oh, and Godfather, I'm trying to brush up on my use of the metric system.  I bought a new caliper off the tool truck, and, yes, it does read in millimeters.

The 64 is crustacular. If it is a word then that would describe it. I spent the better part of an hour tunning the carbs,it's dead on now and sounds much better/worse/louder.Well wahtever it sounds good.
