New 57 project

« on: March 25, 2009, 06:37:16 PM »
I've been looking for an Oval to do "bad" things too. Cant justify hacking up a nice original one so I was delighted to find one I wont mind it so much.
A friend of mine got it from a car museum in Minesota it had been in the basement since 75 awaiting a restoration. He's bringing it to me from Michigan in a month or so. Let the madness begin. Before you go nuts David it's a basket case of a car, there will be much cutting and welding to be done .

The tires won't be sticking out from the fenders long once you get a hold of it!,  looks like it has alot of potential.

Potential is high on it's resume.  Yeah the type 82e look has gotta go. It comes with a good amount of parts to play with. It does have some really cool guages and a few other og "rare"goodies. The big surprise is a lil gift from down under so to speak. 8)

It's o.k.....I was checking this one out, David.... put the Dasher parts down.  Like Scott said, this car has already fallen prey to the meddlings of simple minded folks long ago, it should make a perfect new toy for Scott.

The alterations prior from years gone by make it the perfect project to have a little fun with.  Looking forward to seeing what he'll be doing with it.  Now.... will he be shifting gears with the right hand or his left.........

I've said too much already. 8)

tattle tale!

yeah this poor thing has been chopped, spliced, grafted. It's had more surgery than Cher. The fun is geting away with it all and making it where you cant see it.  thankfully it only needs one more fender to replace the cut up baha ones that are on it. She's getting a proper 36r no hot rodding but pavement eating is a must. Color will be a proper Oval color not that ratty re -respray red.  A nip here a tuck there and it'll be on the road again sometime before 2025.
