My New Bus!

:D  Introducing my new bus!

Okay, it's not the greatest but it does go just as far on an empty tank of gas as Zen's does!

Hey, that's a pretty cool bus!  I don't have one in those colors!

Speaking of running out of gas . . . Guess what I did today?   ???  That's ok, I coasted in to my driveway and I've got about a gallon of gas for the lawn mower . . .

I should have had enough to get me back to the station.  I don't know how I misfigured it this time.  It must have been the weight of that extra heater box I had to carry around all day!   :D

I'm printing out a bunch of these paper buses for the show.  I tried most of the easy ones and finally settled on using a modified version of this one: http://www.oldcars.co.jp/paper/panel1.jpg

It's easy to put together.  You don't have to glue or tape anything.  Once you cut it out, you just fold creases along the top and bottom of the sides, tuck the two bottom flaps together at the slits, and then fold the front and back down and tuck the tabs on the end of the bumpers into the slits just in front of the front tires and just behind the rear.  On card stock it makes a pretty cool looking bus and it's pretty tough for one made of paper and no glue or tape of any kind.

I've got 150 sheets of card stock.  I'll pick up a couple more packs of it tomorrow and hopefully have about 450 of them printed out before show time.

Are you going to put the Volks Folks logo and web info on them?

I couldn't shrink the logo down enough to paste it on the side like I wanted and still have it look decent, so I put the logo on one of the bottom flaps.  On the other bottom flap I put:

"Scenic City Volks Folks
Chattanooga, TN
www.volksfolks.org
Bug-A-Paluza 6
April 17-18, 2004"

I've got 150 of them printed. I've got to pick up a couple more reams of cardstock when I pass Wally-World today so I can print the rest of them.

I am curious to know if anyone has seen this car before or has even owned it???    Ummm that is how I got the info for this website and this forum thanks everyone...

I believe the picture I started this thread with was one on a web site I had and I have since deleted it.
