Yes Mike I hope to get there.I really like their shows.I have only been once (to theirs)but it was one worth remembering.I have been very lucky in the shows. But it get's harder every year.Well what else can you do with a dunebuggy lol.Their leadership quality is very well organized.Alot of thought and hard work has been put into this show. You get what you pay for.The food is great and it's nice and clean.I really didn't start out to make a show car.I just like nice neat looking cars.Alway's have.I really bought it and fixed it up so I could get my wife out of the house sometimes.Ride through the mountains in a convertible. The more I tinkered the more I wanted to do to it.Someone told me I should enter it into a show and I said they were crazy. The only shows I had ever been to were these perfect cars from hotrods to factory type fixed up cars where someone had 10's of thousands of dollars in them.Well since there was no money tree then I knew I had alway's wanted a dunebuggy of all things.I had a friend that let me ride in his. He had built the engine to around 175 horsepower and I was just floored when he hit the gas and we were going right at 3 digit number in third gear.I was amazed a vw would do this.So I got bitten.I don't race mine because of the $ it cost to replace worn out part's and I'm not an engine man but I have a good vw internalist that can fix the inside of the engines if I can help the looks of the outside.I just enjoy riding in it.It's alot of fun for an older adult to have a little toy to play with.

Mike I'm not much of a camper.A good hot shower in the morning after a good night's sleep makes me feel the best.I used to camp in my younger day's but as I got older and set in my way's I gave it up.And having sleep apnea doesn't help matters.Guess I must be a wuss lol lol. What day are you going up? I didn't look where you were from yet.I looked.Don't know what state the barn is in lol.

yes i have to agree on the sleep\ shower thing. i will probly regret sleeping in the truck but i just am trying to make it simple. i am going up actually down from here, but anyways on sat afternoon . then leave after the awards thingy was gonna go only sun but decided that would be to much of a rush so im gonna go hang out on sat. to relax a little bit. i am from tenn. just out of oakridge. so its not to far for me where are you coming from?

About 40 miles north of Atlanta. I may go down on friday.Lot's to do if I'm by myself to get ready.May save some things until I get down there. Then I can take my time and have a cold one or two lol. When it get's closer to time to go then I will know a little more.I am so far behind on the car show things.I haven't hand washed my jeep at all since I bought it off the lot 3 years ago.The automatic car washes just aren't worth a dime.I was going to try tomorrow if it's not too cold.It needs waxing bad.Bet I could get 5mph faster if I did.

i cant really remember exactly how long it takes , i was following a guy down last time so i was day dreaming mostly . but i think about 3 to 4 hrs. i will have to figure it out though thats one reason for going on sat. i can just leave and get there when i do . yea i got alot to do also been fixing my trailer for the'' queen'' had to make some 8' ramps to get it on some moron made it to low  and yes i will be trailering it down.i have like 10 miles on the car so i have not got it real driveable yet .  still have to finish the car too. have to finish the back seat, cover the driver seat  , got to blead the brakes again, and its at the body shop getting touched up so here in about a week or so i will be real busy . but i am looking foward to it .im gonna fill my cooler full of dr. peppers and just hang out.

Yea you better or you might be sorry.Just you have more prices to pic from than having to get a suite lol. You can alway's get one a little further out. It's just to get one closer to the show you need to do it.I stayed at the one that was the first hotel coming out of the show on the left.It was kind of doggy but it wasn't a honeymoon weekend for me either
