Well there is something I haven't seen in years :o   A Deli-aire A/C  unit still in the dash.  I notice the compressor is gone.  Talking about something that will kill some horsepower in a old 40 hp. These unit were VW dealer installed. I put a lot of those A/C unit in back in the day.  You might come up the I-24 ridge cut at about 30mph in 3rd gear wide open ,  that is when the unit was working and not broken(about 1/2 the time) ;D ;D

You could leave it in if you love to bang your right knee all the time. You would love it seeing you have 6' legs. ;D ;D

You  might have notice that you had to put on a shift lever extension and angle it to the left so you could get it in 3rd and 4th gear . This made it tough to shift and really tough to detent to get it in reverse along with playing hell with the lock-out plate over time.

Looks ready to me as it is!  I love patina.  Anything can be restored to like new or better, but they are only original once.

I'm planning on it just got to work the bug out. Did the brakes on the rear today waiting on my beam to come back. The only issue I have is the wiring. The switch was busted when I got it and there are a bunch of wires not hooked up. I put a new switch in but just alittle confused on the wires. Hopefully I can figure it out and get it running.

Beam ? What was wrong with it that you had to take it off ?

I think that's why Richard removed the AC ducts under the dash in my bus. Which is a shame, the compressor was bad, but it was still neat to have.

Nice bug!
