ALright, Travis, now that the Jetta is gone, i'll get the bus on the road and start driving it in to work... Then when we're not busy at work, we can just sit around outside by our cars, looking kewl... 8)

Dang, Travis! The car looks good! I think you've inspired me to drop the rear of mine at least a tad. It's got air shocks on the front and contrary to most of the Samba contributors they're actually pretty usable.

Sweet, i droped the rear one outer notch,  and the front has 6 inch narrow beam and no shocks!  so you sold the jetta?

I'm sort of surprised that only one notch dropped it that far. Why do you not have any shocks? Are they pricey? It still looks cool-I'm doin' it! I never had a Jetta. I've got a New Beetle but no Jetta (I'm the old coot with the silver '63).

No it was one outer,  i was talking about ricks jetta, i've been hounding him to get an aircooled car running,  he inspired me and then got rid of his,  when you narrow the beam there is no longer room for shocks.

My bad, Travis (as usual).
Hey Rick, I scrounged up the cash (sold all my cool stuff on eBay) for my floor job and then my wife hit me with those sad eyes at Christmas. I'm almost back on my floor feet again. I got my carpet out (what a mess) so I'll bring it by for you to look at pretty soon. I'll call before. Thanks, Steve.

Amen, travis....

and, for the record, scott.....

nobody wants to hear about your noodle.....

This car is sweet, though.  it has inspired me to get my crap rolling, but ready in time for the show it will not be.

I'll start my own thread as that takes place.
