8)  That reminds me of a small piece of near useless information that taking up room where I need to be storing other stuff in my brain . . . Sometime in the 70's there was a special edition "Jeans" Beetle that had denim seat covers from the factory.  I don't remember what year it was though.

Well,
now you can fill up that area with a bunch of BAP stuff.
It seams that all the Viehicles had a Jeans period in the 70's.  One of my buds in school had a '78 or '79 jeep Levis edition.

In my case, it just so happened that my mom had a bunch of black denim material left over from some other project she did.

Bug looks like a '71 or '72 because of the bumpers and the vents behind the rear windows.

I have the other parts of your bug. J.R. switched body & chassis. You have a 70 body on a modified 73 chassis. I have the 73 body on the stock 70 chassis.
When J.R traded Seth for the Jeep, Seth took off the drop spindles. Did they go with the bug when you got it? If so, are you using them? I would be interested in them if you have them & don't want them.
