MMMM new Ham Inc. parts for the 2.0 Bus head!

got all new valves and 1 cylinder's worth of valve seats from HAM Inc in Athens GA. Very nice valves and much better quality valve seats!

and BTW Len Hoffman is a great guy to work with. I will probably be buying a set of heads from him next year for the bus. His arent cheap, but they are a good deal cheaper than Raby's. $1,300 vs $1,800. I think its well worth it.

Who is going to install those seats?  $ 1,300 per head ?   Wow!!!!!!!!!!! Stroke Time!!!!!!  I hope the other head stay's together.

There is a machine shop on hwy 58 doing the work...Len said the head has to be machined slightly for the seats to fit.  And no its not $1300 per head... thats for a pair!

There is a machine shop on hwy 58 doing the work...Len said the head has to be machined slightly for the seats to fit.  And no its not $1300 per head... thats for a pair!
ONLY $1,300 a pair ?????  That's much better . Just have a smaller stroke. ;D ;D

Just dropped the new valves off... They showed me the "rebuilt" valves.... they were close to being paper thin on the seating surface of them... he said they have been reground beyond normal usefullness... nice to know GEX considers these still good...  :o


Anywho... should have the head fixed and ready to slap back on sometime next week!

Just think, You might have a head full of those lovely valves on the other side. I think I would be a little worried about them.  You already half there. :-\ :-\   Its a long way back if something happens on the other side.
