so tired of bumming rides. parts came in last night.

Most of us were out at Stevenson this weekend, probably why nobody answered yet!

I installed one in mine. It's been a few years, but I think I could remember how it goes again. I also have a timing light, it's just at my brother's so I'll have to get that first. I'm sure we can work something out.

I could probably stop by. My plan was to bring my bus and we could both install petronix at the same time, but my folks called and said that I might have to go pick them up at or near knoxville. I could probably stop by on my way there with a timing light and give it a go.

We got it installed and timed but there was something amiss. It still didn't have the power and it was making a tapping noise kind of over the number 1 cylinder. I'm sorry we didn't get it all straightened out right away but maybe someone else on the forum can shed some light on it.

Once we got the Pertronix installed and the timing set, the engine sounded really good. However it doesn't have the power that it should. We think ignition-wise it is all sorted, the next step was to move onto fuel delivery. I'd like to swap my fuel injectors for his and see if that makes a difference.

I think Friday is when I will have a chance to come back up there after work. I'd like to drive my bus so we can have them side by side and swap some known good parts onto yours and maybe narrow down the issue.
