Transaxle finished! On to the engine because rings are bad!

Tony, I'm sure you checked the clearance for the 12 volt flywheel in that swing axle bell housing along with the conversion 6V to 12V starter bushing. Right ?? Just checking ;D

I've always heard just bolt it up tight and left the flywheel self clearance. Steel > aluminum

You bolt it up a little bit at the time. You don't just lock it down. The starter will reach the fly wheel . Spin the engine over until it quits protesting ,tighten it a bit more and repeat.  Then take the starter off and clean all the "stuff' out of it. Piece of cake.

The boots are not tightened yet. I am waiting to fit the tranny in the rail, then turn them 90 degrees so the joint will not be vertical. Not happy with the boot fit. They are not that German OE fit!

Yes sir, I do enjoy my side job. As usual, waiting on parts that were suppose to be shipped last week and just shipped today!
