I wish I could but she's in the Garage getting new brakes. C U next time :D Oh and David you are not going to believe the story on her brakes.
Remember the "other " mechanic I let work on her? (before I knew better)
He told us everything had been replace lines, cylinders, pads ect...Come to find out NOTHING had been replaced. He just flat out ripped me off

Thats a dang shame. I hope that Dude can sleep at night.
Since you are the Queen of the On- Line shopper,  Here is what you need to make your heater boxes work. The lever kits
If you have the Mid-America Cat. with the pic. of the Black Bug on the cover, look at page 131 item "F",    part #s  301-217 and 301-220.
I'm sure the #s are the same in other M.-A. cat. but check.
I can install them when I do your tranny bearing. I can install your new shift lever at that time also if you haven't already.
A word to the wise. I don't how much stuff you are replacing on your brakes and considering its a Super Beetle, I would highly recomend that you replace ALL 4 rubber flex hoses at the wheels. Supers are well known for darting around when the brakes are not up to snuff.

Thanks Ret.bugtech I will order the parts today.Everything is going to be replaced and I called them about the rubber flex hoses as well. When I get her back I may as well go ahead on the tran.bering don't you think? That way the only thing mechanical left will be the front end. Can I call you a little later on and set up a day to bring her back? Or have you not recovered from the last visit just yet

Sure you can.   I would wait until the heater parts get here. Much easier to install with the engine out. I might have some time about Wed . I' not sure yet. Touch base with me.

I have a feeling that the PM (previous mechanic) Put it on there and he just didn't have one lying around.... Therefore he just allows it to exist untill he can get the engine out again.:D

Oh I don't mind shiney pulleys.  Matter of fact it was cheaper than a new stock pulley besides shiney pulleys don't raise the temps.  You know how these North Ga. Chicks love their fat tire'd chome plated  Trans-Am"s or Pinto's

Come out to the cruise-in anyways! We don't mind if you're not in a VW.
