Copper Jewel where did you get your sticker? I need one of these. You are killing me with ya;lls hostage notes.lol

Hey 65, I have not been able to find this item anywhere or on line. It is about the size of a business card and does not stick on anything. But today I did find a removeable vinyl bumper sticker that says:

Do you believe in life after death? Mess with my car and you will find out.

I got 2 of them!! I also found one that says: My car is not old, it is a CLASSIC. and got one of them.

I am not going to put them "on" the car but will display them with the removeable sticky squares on the side window or maybe I will put them on the car creeper we use on the display. Not really sure yet...

I will be happy to drop one of the life after death ones in the mail to you if you will either email ( blairjohn@bellsouth.net)  me your name and address or call me on my cell at 770-639-9521 and give me the information.

And on the guy that did the pinstripes I am at a dead end right now. I have not had contact with the Chief yet. If I get a day off I will hit the local truck stops and see if he is there.

After some consultation with various persons in the VW scene tomorrow I will pull all the engine tins and have them powder coated. I want to have them done this next week for the Labor Day Show. We had considered this before, but the 1st engine we did lots of chrome. The 2332 we had the shiny black automotive paint finish. This one we painted ourselves. It looks OK, but is not as durable as the automotive paint. The powder coating should make things right.

Also at the car show I attended today in Bremen I found out from Charles Overton that he had located a person who does pinstripes. He did Charles's first aid box and it looked great. Charles is going to give me one of his business cards. I will post the information as soon as I get it...

:D  I spoke with Overspray this morning and he is going to either post the information on this thread of possibly a new thread. He is very busy and will get to it ASAP. Thanks for the patience. I am still trying to find the guy who did the stripes for us. But as I said the work this person did on Oversprays first aid kit was excellent. I would have no problems using him.

cj I can probably find someone to just do the pinstriping. If I had more being done It would be different. What it is is there isn't enough money in pinstriping.I know from calling around. If you do just come up on someone I will but have just put it on the back burner.Every one want's to do it in vinal and I can do that.CJ been to any shows lately?Unless I go to Toccoa which I will go carless that will probably be it for this year.Hope all you guy's are doing good.Haven't heard much from old david and the allison.I mean't to tell you about the allison I saw for sale on Ebay.Every now and then one will pop up for sale.

OK John,  I prefer "Vintage" rather than Old David.
Albert DeAllison is coming along very well and the body is in the primer mode and doesn't look like Swiss cheese anymore. After much "nashing" of teeth and deep thought, I will be using a '69 IRS floorpan due to the fact that there isn't enough pan left to fix. After cutting, yanking and pulling layers of fibreglass off the old pan ,the only thing left was the pan vin #.  A friend of mine blessed me with very clean and rust free pan for free, even brought it to me. I think this car must have lived in the surf.
I'm taking a lot of photos as we go along to show why I'm grey headed and not trying to stir up trouble on the forums
Will try to post some pics after I get my tetus shot.
Are you talking about the "long" Allison in Daytona ? I belive this one is in worse shape than mine was.

John , I know about this sleep thing. I have gotten so I'm up in the middle of the night or go to bed at 1 am ,then get up at 5:00 am. Just can't sleep. I try to stay active, but all my " get up and go got up and went" without me. I'll hit the big 70 Sept. 7 and I guess I should be thankful. My body tells me its 70 , but my mind says its still 25. This is the only way I can try to keep up with the KIDS in the club    I have a touch of the sleep apnea thing. Its scary. You are not alone. I think there is help out there.

David have you ever been to the sleep study thing?I have been 4 times.Where they hook up all the wires to you. They have found out that I get no sleep even when I am asleep.I never reach the stage 4.If you never reach this stage your body doesn't get to the stage where you body get's the rest. It's like everyday or night after two hours of sleep someone wakes you up and say's "Ok,time to get up for the day"And you go all day like this. Then same thing again the next night. It's a funny thing David how even when you are asleep you don't get any rest. Then during the day you may fall asleep(not when you want to.like driving down the road)just for a split second you nod out.Can be very dangerious for sure.I hit a brick mailbox in my jeep.Glad no one was around.I wouldn't get behind the wheel for two weeks.Scared the hell out of me.Didn't hurt the mail box because I was able to clip it just as I woke up.If I had been in dunebuggy it would have totaled it and no telling what it would have done to me.It's a very serious thing. One day my wife came into the bedroom and saw where I had fell asleep eating lunch where my head was in my plate. After these event's I started taking it seriously and had to get one of these cpap machines that actually pushes air down your throat. My oxygen level drops to 80% sometimes and I wake up gasping for air. That's why I'm so tired all the time.Even with the machine it doesn't work.I even had that operation 2 years ago where they go in there and took out my uvula(little thing that hangs down in the back of your throat)adnoids, tonsils, and I had a deviated septum(where your nose doesn't form a staight path and they sanded it(it's a piece of cartledge)to staighten it.Boy you talk about hurting.I thought I would die when I woke up in recovery room. They couldn't give me anything for pain until my oxygen level got up to 90 percent and mine was 83.Oh I was begging for pain medicine. They finally gave me some when it got to 87.They told me if they didn't wait until it got higher (oxygen)my heart might stop.So I know about sleep apnea if you need to know about it.But having this condition is no fun.And yes if you go to bed too early just means you will have a long day for sure.lolI know I have worn your eyes out.The pain from the fatique is so bad I have to take a high powered pain medicine so I can just cope from it.So it's no fun and I will alway's be studing about it to find new way's to do the best I can because it doesn't just go away. What a bummer

That's great David if your mind stay's at 25. You go guy.Don't ever get old.I don't ever want to grow up if it means where I have to get rid of the things I enjoy doing that don't go along with my age.Other couples that see I have a dunebuggy at my age kind of think why doesn't he grow up like us where we enjoy watching alot of tv lol.
