Hey Moe, A pinstriper that was sober and had a steady hand ? I have never seen one. I watched a "Striper" put a double belt line stripe around a 1940 Packard Limo that had to be a city block long. I don't know who was skaking the worse, the owner or the "striper". That Dude sat there dragging that sword tail brush through the paint palet, cross eyed, drunk on his butt and then jumped up and took off around that big Packard like a person obcessed and layed down 2 strips that you would have had to use a micrometer on them to find any fault. Blew me away. This guy looked like Art Carney down to the hat from "The Honey Mooners"

65Dunebuggy, the pedal came from Wolfsburg West in Anaheim, CA. We ordered it in 2001 for $47.16 including shipping. Part #: ZVW-99A  Description: Cruiser Pedal, Okras. I checked their site for you and they still have the item and it is still the same price!! Now that is amazing....

Bows before the Godfather and kisses his ring. Yes the guy doing the stripes was sober as could be. Once he got started he was in his own world. I really enjoyed watching him work. But I'm like that. I have nothing against work at all. I can watch someone do it anytime....

You are welcome my son! lol. But really get that guy's number if you can CJ.I will really use him.I have heard of the gas petal. Thanks for the info. And yes the grass looks great. We had to make a decision this year to fix the grass or eat.Guess which won?I did open the pool and am having to work my A-- off to get it in shape. The family all were whining about me never opening it anymore so I had to order a new cover and water bags so while I had the cover off I said oh well.So got the pump sucking air from somewhere so it bubbles alot going back into the pool. It's alway's something.I will get to see your car at a show somewhere I'm sure.Pictures sure were good. You must have a good camera.See if you can find the guy that paints.I just need my pinstriping done in paint not this do it yourself tape.At 130mph it wants to blow off lol.

We took a piece of 1 or 1 1/4 inch aluminum flat bar and custom made the bracket. It was cut to give a good flat mount on the underside of the dash. Then the bends were made to get the face in the position we wanted. Then the last bend to fit the existing holes in the gauge. Before we started we cut I think an 18" piece of the metal and polished it with the different polishing rouge to the the finish we wanted. Then after the final product was made it was buffed up and installed. I will try to get  a decent photo of it on the back side for you. But I think you can picture what I mean if I can't get a photo.....

65 Dunebuggy, as far as a good camera? Nope under $100.00 3.5 megapixel Kodak Easy Share camera I won off of ebay!!! (I'm cheap except when it came to the 67)I am still trying to find Mr. Artistic for you. I have not had contact with him in a couple of years.

65 I am still trying to locate the guy. I am going to call the Chief of Police in Bowdon who retired about a year or so ago. If anyone knows who the guy is and where he is now days, this man will. I only have his card with "Mr. Artistic" on it and my old mind does not remember his real name.  :tard: Are you going to make it to this show??

Thanks. It has its flaws. I know I am going to have to do some touch up painting, well "I" am not doing the painting!!! I would like for the car to still be worth looking at.
