It's a 1963 "A" Series Notch.  Looking forward to Bug a Paluza!  New here to the Scenic forum and would like to get to know some of the locals.

Nice looking notch!  Some of the local VW crowd will be Ross's Landing this evening around 6:00 PM.  If you can't make that, our next Cruise-in will be at the Sonic on East Brainard Road (just east of Gunbarrel Rd.) on Friday evening, April 3rd.   8)

Thanks Zen.  I was going to come to the meeting Monday but was unable to.  I read that SCVF may have one more meeting before the Bug a Paluza and thought if you did I would come to that.  Rick S. is finishing up a rebuild for me which should be done before then and she'll be back on the road.  I was at the Chattanooga Market the day SCVF had cars there and talked to a couple of the guys.  Really looking forward to getting involved!

You're invited to come check out a Cool Breeze VW Club meeting also. Anytime you like! We're a small laid back club and we meet at Hardee's on Springplace Rd in Cleveland, TN every 3rd Thursday at 6pm.
All are welcome to come and visit. We're having one tonight actually!

And we'll see all of you there at BP XI.
Looking forward to the first big show of the year!! Later ya'll.

I'm not sure exactly where we are meeting tonight at Ross's Landing . . . I'm gonn'a have to call Brian when I get there and try to find them.  I don't have my phone with me right now, so I can't give you Brians # . . . but you can call me @ 423-605-9816 and I'll let you know as soon as I find out . . .

I wish we could have got the word out about the get together so the Cool Breeze (and anyone else for that matter) could have been invited, but we just found out about it last night.

Thanks, but it was our club meeting night anyway. I try to keep everyone posted on SCVF upcoming events so we can attend when possible.
Some of us are going to try and make the Sonic cruise in. And we're having a cruise in Saturday the 28th at Dairy Queen on Paul Huff Parkway at 6pm in Cleveland.
All are welcome to come and hang out. I'm going to post it in the events.

This is a really neat car. It's taken a good while to gather all the pieces to replace the missing/ damaged stuff, and, the weather has been ridiculous, but we are nearing a point of completion at last.
I've always loved the notchbacks, now we've just got to get rid of the 70s vintage j.c. whitney sunroof, Chris....

No doubt!  I've been watching TheSamba for a donor Notch roof to put it back to original.  I would even consider using an OG sunroof top if it were available though the "A" or "N" series Notch usually didn't come with many accessories at all.  That's what made them different from the "S" series Notch (Lack of Chrome, Options, etc.).  I plan to keep it pretty much stock and even get it repainted to it's original Safari Beige but I'm keeping the wheels.  To me they transform it from something Mr. Bean would drive to a car with attitude!
