Hi, new to the site, just wanted to know if any members have added air ride to their rides. Just want to share some experiences....

I don't know of anyone in the club who has installed an air ride kit. Tell us more though, cause we love pictures and innovative thinking.

The closest thing I can think of is Rick's slammed 64 bug with the raised tranny and flattened floor pans. http://www.volksfolks.org/forums/vw-rides-builds-and-projects/64-rat-bug/

Yes, thanks for the reply. I'm working on bagging the rear of my 69 Beetle with the IRS set up. I will be posting my progress with pics as I go along. Still waiting for parts, so when I get those, I will start posting, in case anyone else is interested in doing the same. Here's a pic of it lowered by adjusting the rear torsion bar, but decided I wanted to lay pan. Also I'm doing a pan of resto, so while the body is off the pan, now is a good time to do the bags. Stay tuned.........

Me and a friend installed air ride on his 69 c10 a few weekends ago and I've helped bag a couple of other body on frame GM cars but never a VW. Do you only run a single bag up front?

Late to the discussion, but my 63 dc uses a dual front bag system.

Well I know its been awhile, but I'm still working on my air ride. I have just completed the pan install all welded in, air bag brackets also welded in. I just finished painting the frame and bunch of other parts, nuts , bolts some rear axle pieces. Still have a ways to go, but I'm hoping to have the rolling chassis done by the end of June, so I can finally start working on the body. Here are some pics of whats done so far.....
