Thanks.... i wrestled with i should keep the original love bug look etc but i decided that i want to have a bug i want and not one that someone in the VW offices came up with 36 years ago. I hope it looks as good as i see it looking in my head. Now all i need is the engine, floorboards, wiring and interior and it will be ready to drive ... ;D

I have a set of Brand new floor pans.
Nice ones with jack points and seat rails (<1970).
$200.00
I'll have them at the new house as soon as someone returns my tow bar...
I wonder who has it... Oh yeah, you do.
LOL.
KC
Call me.
I will also have a complete NICE 1970 interior and lots of other stuff for your car.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I actually started painting it today ( tuesday ) before i went to work. I will put some pics of that when i get a little further.

Yes KC i still have the tow bar and will be bringing it to you this weekend when i come get the engine and look at the 1970 interior so i will be calling you in the next couple days.

I forgot how much these beetles take away from one's normal amount of sleep... ;D

The car looks great by the way.
As you put together a list of stuff you need, let me know.  I get boxes of parts with all the cars that I trade through and probably have alot of the stuff that you need.
I'll be bringing another '70 beetle (w/title) home as soon as I can tow it.
It has a complete interior  (tan), and new not installed Heater channels, floor pans , front fenders, an entire new front clip and a a bunch of other goodies.
It'll be the week after you get me my bar back when I get the stuff home, unless you want to go and get it with me on Saturday, LOL.
KC

We were talking the other day at work and Casey admitted to his medical condition (it's really a mental condition, but if it makes him happy thinking it's medical, let him be happy  ;D )   Anyway, he suffers from a rare condtion know as Automotive ADD.   8)

Amanda said to let you know it takes 9 cans for a convertible.  Her first car was a 71 super 'vert that received a respray courtesy of Krylon.   ;D

Looks much more better, man.

Thanks. If my count is correct i am up to 8 cans now. It should take 3 cans to finish it and 1 for touch ups and the outside will be done. Getting the engine today and then i can stare at the pile of parts and take to some one in the club to assemble correctly. More to come as the build continues......... Rob

A couple more pics of it so far. The rain today ( sunday ) has put a stopper on the work. If you do not see a part on the dash that is supposed to be there i will need it. Check your parts buckets .......  ;D
