66 Vert

« on: September 20, 2009, 08:36:37 AM »
This is my new ride It's a biy different than my usual bugs.
It has paint on it,a big motor and it can drive over speed humps without hitting them. I have a few plans for it but it's staying pretty much as is.

1965 1/2 vert
2332 Honda Killer
Weber 48 Ida's
too much motor stuff to list
5 inch narrowed beam by wagens west
cb performance disk brakes on all 4 corners

It puts a smile on my face everytime I stomp the gas pedal. There is nuthn better than the sound of ida's at wide open throttle.

I said I'd never let the razor go,never buy a vert, never have a nother duel carb motor...This one breaks all the rules I made for my self.

Thankya I'm pretty fond of it already. We'll see what East Ridge's finest think about it whenI drop the kid off at shool in the morning. So far a few of the local police stopped to look at it and wanted me to rev it up...they just grinned so I think it'll be ok.

been doin a lil work on the vert. Lots of braided lines and AN fittings. I think I should have some stock In Honest Charlies by now.

Pulled the motor..went through it and put it back in way better now and it wasnt too bad to start with.

To answer the questions, yes It will be out and about real soon. The fella I got it from spent about 7k on the motor but it was leaking oil from every oil line on it. After about $500 worth of braided lines I got it in good shape.
Feel free to stop on by and take a peak. And yes David"never again" is about right, big motorand vert= big money. There is nuthing to work on that dont cost a mint on this thing. There's a few more high dollar upgrades that I will be doing at a later date but for now she's done and ready to terrorize the scenic city.

pray for my poor transmission.
I've raised a lil cain with it but I think I'll go easy on her for awhile, maybe rejet the carbs and such so I can get more than 12 miles per gallon outta it. I here that when properly jetted and tuned I could get 20mpg isnt that great?? :?
