Damn cool man!  you gonna mess with the suspension?

Why you gotta ask silly questions and get David all upset. Geeze man I have to go over to his house sometimes. I found out that no wheel other than a type 3 offset fit it unless...beam conversion...cough cough short axel.

I have a 6 inch beam in the garage whenever ya grow a pair man.

Right now I'm up to my eyebrows in motor and charging system problems. :?

I would love drop spindles.....Hey Dave!  Have you changed your mind bout that one yet?  we could do it with the link/king pins.  I just got a cool 56 GA tag on it.  I love that Ga will let you run a vintage tag if it matches the year of your car.

I have never seen a car like yours Scott lowered.  Would look cool.

Oh yeah my "pair" is growing.

Lower it or dont lower it. Nuthin that cant be changed back as long as you dont get to crazy with it. I figured you got your pair back so I just wanted to remind you to use them. Drop spindles only look half@ssed. Thats why the beams are adjustable after all.

You could try Jim he has one of these "common pimples".I aint sellin this one....ever.
The motor checks out by serial number to be correct, but here's the weird part. Duel relief case and no cam bearings??? I'll be the 1st to admitt it ,I'm intimidated by it and dont want any issues with the og motor. Some goof ball years ago already did quiet enough to it. I may have to seek higher education on this one.

What did the Goof Ball do ?    I'm not suprised that you found a duel relief case and no cam brgs.  I rebuilt a 40 hp at the dealer that HAD cam brgs . the original engine.   VW use to pull stunts like this all the time. I also rebuilt a 68 type-2 original engine and it didn't have cam brgs. I have seen Type-1 original cases out of 71-74 Bugs that were single port.

Nuthin too bad I took it to Rick to get it all cleaned up.He's agreed to assemble/supervise/eat pizza when we get it together.
The guy did some back woods rebuild at some point tossed the 1500s pistons in the process.
I'm buildin the bottom end pretty stock except for CB rods and lil things like that. Im going to run my big valve heads on it and a few lil goodies to put the pep back in her step.

In the future it will get retired to a stand when I build the lil stoker to replace it. During that time it will be returned too 100% bone stock as soon as I source the parts.

Any and all "molestation" will be tastefully done with the preservation of the car and the original parts in mind. :D

Well I better get over there soon to drop off your parts before it dries out.
I'm thinking about not building the original motor until I find the correct parts for it.Maybe detail it out and put it on a stand in the basement.\

I haven't been scared into becoming a stock naz,i it's just that you really cant find much to put on this car. Anybody got a t34 roof rack or package tray???Didn't think so.
