It's running and charging at nearly 7 volts ;D took 2 generators but I finally got some used goodness to work. :D can't believe I didn't even try to polarize the generator with all the time I had it apart :P It's all good now, will be pulling the engine soon and changing the fan shroud to a non-heat unit and moving the wings up in the engine compartment for the tin to the body seal. I started on flattening the floor today, cut out the drivers floor under and behind the front seat. I made a few relief cuts in the deep part of the pan and it pounded out nicely.

This will get close to 1 1/2 in of added clearance.

I have a nice non heat 40 HP set up and would like a heated set up (as long as it has the offset cooler).
Need to pull my engine any way and add some heater boxes etc..
(I also have the non cut out rear tin for a no heat set up.)
"I can hook you up".
Your lift would be of great assistance on pulling my engine and adding heat.
Any chance of working a deal?
I can send photos of the set up that is in my car.
I think I have a leak at my cooler as well, so I need to pull the shroud anyway.
Let me know,
KC

Sorry, I'm not even supposed to have customers in the shop let alone someone working on their own vehicle. I already have the no heat tin but thanks anyway. As it is I have to wait until a rack clears up long enough to snatch the engine and shove everything outside until i can finish the work and slide it back in for a few minutes to slap it all together. Keeping a bay tied up is bad for business! It sucks not being able to work on it whenever I want, but that's the way it goes.

Let me count the times.
KC,    You get hurt over there and he is big time libel . I had a lot of friends ask to work on their own "Critter's" at my shop and would have to turn them down. I have a Buddy in Va. that got sued for $150,000 over such a thing. Damn near ruined him plus NO ins. now.

Yeah, it's really too bad, I'm not even supposed to let my brother or parents in the shop area. Every person that steps foot past the bay doors could cost me everything.  I like to show people their vehicles or what's going on with them but I have to be careful with who I let out there, if they look feeble or are not at least wearing tennis shoes it can't happen..flat bottom boots or dress shoes = a near guaranteed fall especially on a wet day like today.  One of the great things about the military is the auto craft shops on all the installations.  They are a full blown auto repair shop that you could go and rent a bay per day or by the hour.  They had flat bays and bays with lifts, a complete tool room you can check out tools from like a library, tire machines, diagnostic equipment, nice paint booths and storage lots to leave your project at when you couldn't take it home.  They were great! Plus there was always someone there that had crazy knowledge and skills that would help when you needed it.  I guess since Uncle Sam already owned us there was no worries about getting hurt, but I can't even imagine what it would take to have that on the civilian side...the first time someone tried to shave their hand off in a brake lathe the whole world would come to a end, and believe me the brake lathe will be fed!! ;D

Got some welding done today on the flattened section of pan, it gained a clean 1.5in. at the  rear most section....must need to go a little lower out back now! ;D ;D. I still have to cut and flatten the pass. side, hopefully I can get that done soon!
