1st water-cooler

just brought her home yesterday! never had a water cooled VW before but I think I can get used to it. She's currently not running but hopefully it won't be a big deal, previous owner changed the H2O pump and T/belt and it may just be out of time...I'll see how it sounds once the battery finishes charging

I'm also looking for MK1 parts especially vintage roof rack, dashpad and a hood that doesn't have hotrod hood pins :oops:

That a pretty good looking Rabbit you've got there.
I would also visit vwvortex.com. It has a great classified section for water cooled vw's.

She's starting to shape up a bit. Found a roofrack, got that spraypaint off the wheels and put a little wax on the front clip too. Still has a cold start issue but when it warms up everything is good! Calling it the 'habbit'

The "Habbit" would look nice with the Euro early GTI grill with the round H/L and center driving lights. My son had a grill like that on his '77 Rabbit. I think Hella made these grills/kits.
