1970 hoodride

« on: June 13, 2010, 12:04:00 PM »
Here is the latest addition.  It's a 1970 barn find..and by barn I mean 4 posts and a roof.  It has been sitting since 98 and needs a few things done.  I have pans, carpet, running boards,a windshield, drop spindles, tires and a ton of work on order. I will up date as work gets done 8)

The deck lid has been off for years! :P

Some more..Freed up the engine, cleaned the carb and got it running, pulled the engine and replaced the release bearing..someone already replaced the clutch before it was parked and that seems ok, just the bearing was trash, narrowed the beam 6 inches, rotated the torsion mounts, and installed the drop spindles up front..gettin close to hitting the road with it...need enough floor to keep the battery off the road first though ;D

They look like Uni-vents.

Aftermarket vent tube systems that brought a nice breeze into the car.  popular back in the day.  I have a set in the box still, waiting to go on something.   8)

Any day you want...I'm here 6 days a week! ;D :P  You wouldn't happen to have a headlight ring I could buy would you?  Mine is missing the pass side and I just won't be able to take that for long!! ;D

I also have a '70.

I've got one that runs and drives, one that runs but don't drive, one that drives but don't run, one that runs and drives but has no floor, and a fleet of junk that sits there and rust (don't know how many of them I have . . . some are in the back yard, some down at my cabin, some at my mom's, some over at Kyle's place, and I might have some more at some other places that I've forgot about.)
