Trade for vert...umm hell naw.
That would be 3 steps back in my trading evolution...cant do that. :?
Trade vert for Souped up Porsche 911...trade 911 for 50 split bug thats my plan.

The DC has the potential to be the badest lookin ride in town and the right person has it to get it done.
Go Ricky Go!!! :D

You going after the milkdud one?
I like you plan!
KC out

No that car aint a split no more, too much hackery on it.
Selling the 911 I'm getting for some pretty decent change then going back to Arizona to my stash spot to drag out a 50...maybe. Would be nice to find one in the south east but they have all been hack jobbed or there isnt much left of em.

Another very busy Saturday spent on the heap.

Made up all new cable conduits for the underside (the old ones were rotted badly, imagine that... )

Finished welding the driver's rocker up, welded the passenger rocker up.
Floorpans modified, installed, got those mostly completed, welding bottle was getting really low, and I was getting really tired at that point, hope to get it home to the garage this next week, so I might still get it done in time for a bit of Spring time fun.   :D

This thing hasn't had this much steel attatched to it in decades.

Finished welding up the rear floor section, fabricated new fuel tank supports (installing a larger bay fuel tank), fabbed up the filler neck, almost done with the damage repair to the right rocker / quarter area....

Tank divider wall framework... done.
--Rear Corners to the fuel compartment closed in.
--All lower support sections repaired. panel supports made, welded in....
--Rocker / passenger side welding done....
--Left front inner fender well done....
--Tires mounted, had to pick the rear up spring plates a spline so i could actually get the tires and wheels on the truck.  The right front tire leaks down after about 8 hours.... stoopid rusty rims.... Got a little rake going on, but that should disappear as soon as the engine is in and the new metal welded in the bed...
 Pics....

Hey Grasshopper, Looking great.  Even I like it ;D ;D    Please take close-up photos of the logo on the doors before painting. Are you going to paint them back on ?  It would be pretty cool. What do you think ?

I think I will.  I am gonna roll it rough for a bit, but then will most likely end up re-spraying in the og dove blue.  If I do, I will re-do the door logos for sure as they were from the original owner of the truck.   ;)

Fixed the inner wheel arch last week, along with the leading floor edge in the passenger area...

More work over the weekend...

Cut out rusty remnants in the engine bay, fabricated new sections, welded them up, fixed the rear corners (the welding work, still need to fill), covered the rusty interior area surfaces with rust primer, grey primer on the rest, will seal it up tonight, then paint with rustoleum gloss grey tomorrow.  Coming along nicely.   8)

In my tradition... more pics...
