That's in really good shape and appears to have all the original Westy gear with it. Nice find. They are amazing vehicles aren't they? Feel free to ask any questions about it.

Only thing I see from these pics that you are missing is some kick panels, they go underneath the dash. You could look for some good used ones but honestly they are just pasteboard with vinyl glued on them and they don't hold up well. Moisture causes them to warp and fall apart. The best option I've found is a guy on The Samba called Werksberg that makes a lot of reproduction panels in ABS plastic. I have his kick panels in my bus and they are a perfect fit, and look original except they're impervious to moisture or warping.

Here's a link to his ad: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=817268

Of course you may be looking to address mechanical issues first but these would complete the look of your interior if you wanted.

There's nothing that compairs to going on a trip in a bus.  You sit up high and get a great view of everything around you.  OK, they aren't fast, but that's really the best part.  Just get in the slow lane and enjoy the ride!   ;D  8)

sit up high is an under statement, lol  my head touches the ceiling, i had to take the sun visor off and i have to duck to look left out the window....hahahaha

i have looked at the abs kick panels and they are on the list.  just not at the top right now. mechanically, i was very lucky to get the bus from a VW enthusiast in GA who owns and rebuilds several.  she ("Serenity") is very sound.
