I heard that. If I could just get my Blackie fitted with her eng-trans unit, things will be on the down hill stroll.

I started to pull the front apart today and got side tracked by some brake work and bringing tdc up on my block so I can lock the crank and mark the new flywheel. Unfortunately, my stand want allow me to mount the flywheel, so I have to engineer something. Once true tdc is acheived, I get to bolt the cam and lock it.
I am pondering the core support removal, as the ac condenser is still connected with the compressor. Ac was working great and kind wanted to keep together if possible. I going to look again tommorow.

On the passats up can swing it out of the way,  I have evacuated and recharged on the jettas before.  If you put the timing cover and Pulley on you should get really close to tdc

After a few try's, I finally got my clutch line hooked up to the pedal cylinder. What a pain.
Found a mark on the new flywheel. So locking it, is all I need. Putting eng/trans as a unit is going to be best, I believe.

Cheers
