ok, it's blue but it's beat like a redheaded step child.I think it went from Zen to David  to Jason to Me. I think I can revive it as a little hotrod with some dramatic body work. Anywho, who do I got bribe to get the rest of it?

I'm looking for doors, hood, decklid, and fenders. Windows are a plus. And a pan would be nice if there's one clogging up your yard.
The more I find the less I chop. The less I find...well.
It wont need doors without a roof I guess.

HERB to David to Jason to you.  I think that is one of the few non-running Bugs in the area that hasn't spent time in my back yard . . . or has  it?  There's been so many back there I don't remember for sure . . . but I don't think this one has.

I've got a 68 chassis you can have.  Bad tranny, no rear drums, no front beam, needs pans, and the last I knew, there was a bug running around north GA still using the VIN that belongs to this chassis.  The body was placed on a 75 pan, but since the guy had the title for this chassis and this VIN was on the body, he kept on using the 68 title.  Anyway, the price is right.    Come haul it off.  8)

Yeah, I guess technically you should name it after Herb . . . but then you already have one named after Herb.  Call it whatever you want to as long as it gets a little of the junk out of my yard and garage!      8)

Anytime you need something removed from that garage let me know.  It's like a little nest of vw. Thanks for the pan I think it's gonna be usable. I didn't see anything wrong with the trnasmision other than the linckage but what do I know.

The guy I got it from put the body on a 75 chassis 'cause the tranny was bad and he didn't want to mess with changing out a swing axle when he had an IRS chassis sitting there.  I think reverse was bad.

Scott, I was just checking some older post that I missed.
On that tranny ,You don't have to take the axles off. If you have haven't ever had a VW swing axle apart , You better get some help before you get into big trouble. It doesn't come apart like you think it does and there is some tender stuff inside that won't take a lot of beating, banging and prying. $$$$$$$$$ if you screw up. If you think I'm trying to scare you,  You are correct.

HeyScott, I have a front hood you can have. Looks like it hit a tree head-on and then was beat out with a big hammer.(North Ga Style body work) It was the hood that was on the body you have now. A couple of pounds of Bondo and a can of Krylon it would look like new

Again this is one of those weird vocabulary things I haven't mastered. The axle is still attached to the gears and still attached to the other axle as well. I'll throw it in the truck for you to laugh at when I get that pristine hood.I've got a case I need you to identify anyways.

How bad or good is a Brazilian case. It's setup as a 1600 SP. At least I think that's 85.5mm pistons make it.It's in My step dads 68 or was.
Down on the bottom right hand side(passenger side when installed)Theres a plate blocking off an opening in the oil sump area.Whats it for? Whenever this rain let's up I'll drop by with a bunch of junk for you to laugh at.
