WTB Type 3 engine/trans....maybe

« on: January 06, 2013, 07:54:47 AM »
Went and looked at a new project yesterday. It's a 1971 Type 3 squareback. Something I have wanted for awhile. Price is good. It's missing the engine and trans and just wanted to put a feeler out to see if anybody had something and roughly what it would cost. That will help in my decision. Good thing is my Beetle is staying no matter what!

Is it an automatic tranny or straight shift ?

It's a straight shift car. Am I correct that the Trans is the same as a bug?
