What years will work?  I think I know where I can get one from a 68 or 69.

yes, the guy wants to get it gone, hard to sell when it does not steer or stop,  may try to repair the one he got never tackled a bus beam before

I've heard '71 and up will work. The earlier ones don't have the bracket for the booster on beam. I was reading about it on thesamba after searching for how to upgrade the earlier ones to disc brakes with a booster; everyone said you had to either switch beams or add the bracket.

Nick's correct....

And, from what I remember about the bus, don't think the beam was particularly "fixable"... but you can make that call.

I don't play with rigging in the areas of brakes and steering/suspension...

And, would you mind reminding Michael that he was going to replace the chassis brace that I gave him of my own when i repaired the rocker on his bus?  Never did hear back from him.

if a braket is the only difference i can switch that or remove it what ever is required, we keep on welding back the origanal patch and it worked for less and less time

Ya think?

Let's not forget the most important thing here....

SAFETY

Stopping and steering... if those don't work just right, one's day can go to crap in the blink of an eye.  This is not the area to save your money.  That's for the seatcovers.
