hey there everyone,
   
 
    I am in need of a hood that has no butt prints in it and it don't care if it is fiberglass. Anyone got a used one laying around that they would want to sell? Metal or fiberglass. Please let me know , I just found out that my bug has too many dents to repair it, or does anyone know anywhere i can take the hood to get it pressed out right? Thanks everyone.

For most Beetle hoods, it's cheaper to replace 'em than fix 'em if they have much damage . . . but a 71/72 Super Beetle hood is a different story.  Good ones are rare and usually expensive.  As far as I know, this is one hood that has never been reproduced in metal or fiberglass since VW stopped stamping them out many years ago.  I've seen them go for several hundred dollars used!   :shock:  You probably want to start looking for a good body man.   :wink:

Aaron, didn't mean to steer you wrong . . . But after doing a little research, I found out that Creative Car Craft has started reproducing 71/72 Super Beetle hoods in fiberglass . . . they are still pricey at $369, but at least they are avalible.  I've seen lots of Creative's fiberglass parts and they EXCELLENT quality.

I've got a good hood it is on a 72 super that got rear ended.Price $100.00 Let me know something. :)

   Do you have any use for my hood like is in my avatar just for mudding or somehting? I have no room for my hood that will come off.. I would love to have a straight hood and finally get one that looks good. Let me know when i can come look at it.. Is 100.00 a firm price? I can pay cash.

Well In that case I will have to find a place for my old hood. I mean I just payed 50.00 for it a couple of months ago. So I will have to bring my truck to get that one.. Anyway how is the rust on the hood?
