Want to Trade Dual Kadrons for Single carb set up.

I have a set of Kadrons on my Bug now and would like to trade for a single carb set-up.They are running now and are driven daily.Complete with aluminum manifolds,linkage and brand new air cleaners(bought at Bugapaluza).They can be bolted on and driven.Would like a good clean Weber 2 barrel setup or a good clean 34 pict..Needs to be complete,clean and running.991-1519 or e-mail vkaufman@bellsouth.net.

I have a good clean 34 pic that came off a my step dads Ghia. Works well but , WARNING: 34 pics dont work well with 009 dizzies they like vacum advance. Without a vacum advance dizzie they tend to hesitate when you stomp on the gas.

I need the whole set up.End castings,manifold,carb and aircleaner.It's only a myth about the 009.If you know how to tune and work with it,you can get the flat spots out.Ran many different carbs with 009 and never had problems.Everyone has their own beliefs about what works with what setups.

Ob kb.... I hate 009's but thats just me. I have the carb, manifolds,endcastings and several aircleaners to chose from. The only thing I dont have are the gaskets.

If you can get 2 silicon intake boots,clamps and the intake gaskets.Let me look at the carb and give me a weekend to get it installed.Give me a call if taht can work for you.

I have a DP intake (non AStick)with a 30 / 31 Carbie that I'll try out on the ASBug, If it works, It'll run better with your .009.

If you want to try it instead, I could use your set up on a spare engine that I am building.

Let me see what Scott wants to do and if he is a no-go then we can see about doing a deal.Do you have the end castings?I need the whole set up because the Bug came with the Kadrons and I have no spare parts yet.

Yep,
I have everything and can test the 30 /31 on my bug prior to you running it, it comes with the adaptor for the DP intake. I also have another correct '72 oil bath breather.

If he isn't game on the 34 and his 009, I might be interested in the 34 if it is geman. I have a BOCRAP one now that will not idle - just died one day, slapped on a 30/31 and it ran out of the box....

Why not leave the 30-31 on ? They work better anyway.......

I tried every thing, New Kit, New idle sylinoid....NADA.
So I buought the 30/31 and like it, but it is sluggish in advancing the DVDA distributor for the ASBug, not enough vaccume at any of the ports.
Kinda like a 009-itis in reverse...

Yeah, I have an AS manifold, but the vaccume problem here is in the orfice in the carb itself, with the smaller bore on the vaccume there is some hesitation before it'll actuate the vaccume advance for the distributor. Not as bad as I've heard that the 009 is with a 34 pict 3, but annoying.
I am still interested in GK's duals if bugnut cannot help him.
