I have it on good authority that ZEN has just purchased a 1967 Long arm.
I know for a fact that it moves forward and back, other than that your on your on.
It used to be mine, untill about 1 hour ago... always a day late.  :D

I bought a home built rail buggy (project) from Casey yesterday.  It's got a swing axle that's supposed to be a 67.  I assume it is cause it looks like it's never been cut and it had a 12 volt flywheel on the engine we pulled off of it.

'67 Type-1 tranny is the only long axle that  had wide 5 hubs. You cannot use 4 lug drum on this tranny unless you change the backing plates. I'm not sure about the axles.   Some late '65 and '66 trannys would accept 12 V flywheel. You just use a conversion starter bushing in the tranny

Or just use an Autostick Starter, Worked great on my engine that was on the Buggy.  Never worry about a bushing again.

Sure you can but a $3 or $4 bushing is a whole lot cheaper than a A.S. starter if you don't have one.

what he said, those starters run a bit of change more than the ones for a m/trans.  i might end up swapping the long axle setup from my old 67 with a short axle rear end any how ( makes the finished lowered car look a lot better anyhow) , this would give me what i need.  Thanks, folks.
