Swamp cooler and early pop-outs

« on: April 12, 2009, 05:36:05 PM »
I have a few vintage parts I would like to sell.First is a swamp cooler. But this is not your normal cooler,it is electric.I think it is 6 volts,it spins pretty fast on 12,but a voltage drop would take care of that.It is an old Sears brand and is O.G. paint, but sticker is worn off.It does work.Second is a set of early pop-out windows.Glass has 1 chip.Missing 1 hindge and 1 piece of the bracket.Over all pretty good shape, but not perfect.$200 for the swamp cooler and $75 for thr windows.E-mail me at vkaufman@bellsouth.net or pm me.Thanks for looking.

That swamp cooler is very cool no pun intended. Runs real good and quiet.
I have to take Gary some parts to swap for other stuff. Somebody buy that cooler or I'll be forced to.

Well you have to buy a swamp first. It keeps the "gators and snakes and great flapping things" really cool

I just happen to have a swamp but if you can't put Beer in it I guess I don't need it. Hey I saw a hawk last night fly over with a big ol snake in it's claws freaked me out. I am looking for a steering Wheel for a 71 Super convertible it must be pretty :D

Speaking of Snakes, We had a 60ft maple tree cut down last fall and in process at about 30ft this Dude cut in to a hollow limb and out jump a 4ft Black snake.  Have you ever heard a big burley logging Dude squeal like a Pig
?  He broke all records for coming down a tree with a rope and never touched the trunk. I gathered up the snake after it fell out the tree and tossed him in the backyard . They are nice to have around if you have little furry critters in the south 40.   Score ----Tree Dude--0

It's gonna depend on what month your 71 was built.74 has the bigger steering shaft.VW split shafts from small to larger in 71.
