FREE,FREE .  I need this to disappear. 1 totaly stripped bug body '64 ? There is not one bolt or nut on this thing. A empty shell . The only good part is that the area around the engine compartment and rear window looks great including the compartment seal channel for the engine seal. The roof looks good also. Somebody come get this thing PLEASE. There is no room at the Inn.
Herb, Did you say something about wanting the rear clip ?

Chris, If you are the one that was looking for a Bug to restore a while back, This is not the body you would want. When I say stripped, I mean stripped. Even being free you would drive yourself nuts trying to put this thing back together. This is the reason I got another donor car for my KdF project.

Sure you can. Mount it on a wall, put a nice frame around it and call it art.  8)

If you are looking for half a bug . . . a guy I work with is building a trike or of, from what I was told, a very straight, rust free 68 Bug.  It's supposed to be about like the one Fielding built.  Anyway, he told me today that he needs to get rid of the front end of it.  If I understood him right, it's cut through the heater channels at the back of the doors and at the windshield post near the roof and across the center tunnel just in front of the pedals.  Both doors are still attached.  I think it includes the hood, but I don't think it has front fenders.  It has the front beam . . . and maybe the gas tank.  He "wants" $125 for it.   He might take less.  This is all I know about it.  If anyone is interested, I'll get his phone number for you.

 :idea1:
Hey, you could take the half bug this guy has, mount the heater channels to the wall and rig up some latches for the doors to close on, then cut off the window frames on the doors and weld 'em up so they are flat across the top.  Then close off and weld up the top of the windshield post and cut a piece of lexan and make a short roadster windshield.  From there, if it's in a kid's room, make a flat wooden floor in it and cut a thick piece of foam to fit the shape and it could be a bed . . . remove the gas tank and make the hood a toy box.   OR, you could put it in the den, build a bench seat in it and mount a 72 inch plazma tv on the opposite wall.  Then you could go to the drive-in without having to leave the house.  If you really wanted to get creative, you could mount a shifter and some pedals in it, hook them up to switches and hook some sensors up to the steering wheel, wire all of it into a USB port on your computer, install a graphics card with video output and plug that into your 72 inch tv . . . I'll let you have a copy of "Beetle Bug'n."   :thumbs-up:
