help! Need wheel bearings

Ok went to advance ,they have the outer , but the wrong inner, Auto zone Same thing . The bearing has a timken # L45449 I have the left front apart, Never fails!#!@%$#^%$#@#*&^%$  ! Ok I feel Better.....Fred

Mainly foreign will have them. I refuse to buy from autozone or advanced when it comes to vw parts some of its good some isnt.

Or you can have them go up/ down a couple of years.  The size of the inner race changed during the ball joint production, and the disc brake models were different from the drum brakes.

Hey Big D,   Did you leave a little "play" in your front bearings ?  Tapered roller bearings need a slight amount of side play .  .06mm rings a bell and I know you have a metric dial indicator and bracket in your tool box to check this :lol:  :lol:     This is one reason the Germans lost the war. They had to park all those Kubelwagens and Tiger Tanks for the lack of a dial indicator in the tool box to check wheel bearing end play :lol:  :lol:
      If you can feel it and not see it you should be just fine.

You snug them down , spin the wheel and then slowly back off the lock nut until you feel a tiny bit of play when you wiggle the wheel . Lock her down and recheck.  No rocket science here.

Ok when I snug the rear, My torque wrench only goes to 150 , how long a cheater should i use to get 200 lbs?

About 3-4 feet.  I use a air wrench
