Floor pan

« on: August 13, 2006, 06:13:57 PM »
Well after removing the body from my Allison buggy, I discover that there is not much left except the chassis #. I don't think its worth trying to repair. What I need is a chassis from a type-1  '66-'68.( I want to keep the swing axle)  I don't need any of the running gear and since I will be cutting the pan , the floor pans  don't have to be perfect. Can anyone help me out here ?  I would love to find one with a title. (yeah right).

I have the one from Zen. I think it's a 68? Needs pans and no title but the frame head and rear end seems ok.

118.  There is a 68 body that came off this chassis running around somewhere in northwest GA on a 75 chassis, but it is still registered as the 68.  It's a good chassis . . . but you may have problems with the VIN.

A floor pan has found me.  I was repairing a tranny for a guy and he has a '69 pan in good shape and complete other than no front axle beam. So I guess Albert DeAllison will be converted to IRS. The best part "Its free" and he is bringing it to me !!!  I love it when things happen like that.
